Listen to Les Baricades Mystérieuses.

Sometimes the water looks like tea, rich in colour and full of mystery. Penelope Caves harpsichord gave just the right feel for this aspect of the painting, I was looking for the dignity that comes from something of long standing, a mature river banks edge, deep shadowy forms, with all the allure for a little boys net The elegance of this piece by François Couperin speaks for itself, full of watery mystery.

LES BARICADES MISTERIEUSES. Written by François Couperin (1668-1733), and performed by Penelope Cave.
